If a blonde head of hair doesn’t suit you , chances are you stick with warm colours in your wardrobe. The warm tones work great with your complexion and hair colour and you know that they will always work for you. You always liked a certain shade of blue or green and you’re always wondering if you can pull it off. To figure out the colours that best suit you , you can watch this video
In this post I will be showing a few tips to wear cool colours if you have dark hair and overall tend towards warm colours.
Pastel greens are easy to pull off , the pastel against the dark hair creates nice contrast. The pastel blues are trickier as they can play up blue veins and tones in your face and make it look blotchy. As for the shade emerald green and deep turquoise work best. You could wear a complementing darker shade of the same colour away from your face. For example in your accessories or bottoms , like I did here with the shorts.
Keep it solid
To get the uniform effect of the colour on your face try to stick with a solid coloured top rather than pattern. Solid colour tops will distribute the reflection of the colour on your face evenly so you could get a better idea if it works for you. Pairing a coloured top with neutral bottoms tones the outfit down. The pattern in the pants I picked adds interest to the outfit.
for the blues it is easier to pull off deep royal blues and blues that have a purple or violet undertone. Periwinkle blue is a good example , as you can see here I paired it with a different shade of blue in the accessories. Again I stuck to a solid top and added pattern in the skirt to add interest to the outfit.
I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful. Until next time 🙂
